Elon Musk’s X Platform Gets xAI Integration: Its Bot Grok To Answer Human Queries

Elon Musk’s X platform gets xAI Integration. Musk came up with this announcement on 5 November 2023. xAI will also function as a standalone app, according to Musk.

He further said that xAI had already released its first model, and its first large language generative bot was named Grok. The bot was available to all the premium+ subscribers of the platform. The literal meaning of Grok is “understanding something intuitively.”

xAI, a startup of Elon Musk, wants to “assist humanity in its quest for understanding and knowledge.” Further, the bot, Grok, will come up with answers to all the questions asked on this platform by human beings with a pinch of humor.

With xAI, the primary target is to create a good AGI or artificial general intelligence. The group of engineers behind generative models like Deep Mind, Google, and OpenAI has worked for Musk’s xAI platform.

Musk presents Grok as a language model that is “truth-curious” and “maximally curious.” He says that this way, xAI can potentially leave every other platform behind. Further, Grok needs sound computing resources. In addition, for many businesses and individuals, this platform is going to be the most useful tool.

xAI has another advantage over platforms like ChatGPT. It will offer you access to real-time information on the X platform. According to Musk, this real-time information will be without any bias. Moreover, it is voice-ready to make the most of the ongoing trend of voice search.

While launching xAI in July, Musk said it would be the maximum “truth-seeking platform.” He also criticized “Big Tech’s AI efforts.” Along with Big Tech’s AI efforts, the xAI platform sees Bing AI of Microsoft and Bard of Google as the competitors.

Despite the similarity in the names, xAI and X are two separate platforms. Elon Musk’s Tesla and other companies also collaborate with this AI platform.
